چکیده

Rationale Control over accuracy and precision in isotope geochemical analysis is highly necessary for reliable results. Use of reference materials Sr Nd geochemistry provides a means validating optimal sample preparation instrument configurations. Methods A comprehensive data set analyses BHVO‐2 material was obtained by thermal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS). The intention to assist other researchers evaluating isotopic geological samples with similar chemical matrix. Results 87 Sr/ 86 ratios analyzed 88 replicas from 2015 the present provide an average value 0.703485 ± 0.000024. In turn, 143 Nd/ 144 62 show 0.512978 0.000012. high number here presented ensures reproducibility time non‐certified these two elements. Conclusions This TIMS basis validation analytical processes absence certified support correlation results between laboratories overall improvement interpretation geological, environmental archeological samples.

High-precision measurements of seawater Pb isotope compositions by double spike thermal ionization mass spectrometry.

A new method for the determination of seawater Pb isotope compositions and concentrations was developed, which combines and optimizes previously published protocols for the separation and isotopic analysis of this element. For isotopic analysis, the procedure involves initial separation of Pb from 1 to 2L of seawater by co-precipitation with Mg hydroxide and further purification by a two stage ...

Thermal-ionization isotope-dilution mass spectrometry as a definitive method for determination of potassium in serum.

Thermal-ionization isotope-dilution mass spectrometry is a highly precise and accurate method for the determination of potassium concentrations in serum. Although not suited for routine use because of the time and expense required, the technique provides an extremely valuable tool for the characterization of reference materials and for evaluating other analytical methods. The technique has rece...

Characterization of glycosphingolipids by direct inlet chemical ionization mass spectrometry.

Permethylated derivatives of cerebrosides and ceramide di-, tri-, tetra-, and penta-hexosides were analyzed by the direct inlet ammonia chemical ionization (CI) mass spectrometry. In the CI mass spectra, the fragment ions produced by the loss of methanol from the protonated molecular ion were observed in all of the glycosphingolipids. Other fragment ions due to the cleavage of glycosidic moiety...

Characterization of gangliosides by direct inlet chemical ionization mass spectrometry.

Permethylated derivatives of N-acetylneuraminic acid-containing GM3, N-glycolylneuraminic acid-containing GM3, GD1a, and GD1b, were analyzed by direct inlet ammonia chemical ionization (CI) mass spectrometry. These compounds were found to yield simple fragmentations, prominent fragment ions in the high mass region, and characteristic fragment ions corresponding to the cleavage of glycosidic lin...
